About Dr.Nicole F Besu
Dr. Besu is a Periodontist she specializes in periodontics and implants that include periodontal surgery, tissue graft contouring, and dental implants. Dr. Besu currently treats patients around Miami, Florida, at Miami Healthy Smiles.
Dr. Besu knew she wanted to be a dentist while she was still in college. After graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she enrolled in Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine just one year later.
Though Dr. Besu earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004, she decided to continue her education by returning to school for a Masters in Dental Science at the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center College Of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee.
For more than a decade, Dr. Besu has made a name for herself in the periodontal community, gaining ample experience in reducing or reversing gum disease effects and attaining comprehensive periodontal care.
As a dedicated member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Besu has provided dental care to the less fortunate at Miami’s Robert Morgan Educational Center, and she has also taught dental implant surgery.
Dr. Besu is passionate about giving back to the community, which is why she advocated for a new clinic that serves the children of migrant workers at St. Anne’s Mission in Homestead, Florida. In addition, Dr. Besu has served on the Board of Directors for the Ambassadors of Mercy to help raise money for Mercy Hospital in Miami.
When she isn’t treating her dental patients, Dr. Besu loves spending time with her family, fishing, traveling, and salsa dancing.
